Alex and Sarahan met during their first year at Wake Forest Law. They were in the same section, so they had all their classes together. Over the course of law school, they became good friends, bonding over plenty of study sessions and bar review outings. In their last semester, they leveled up their friendship and started dating. While studying for the bar exam, Alex visited Sarahan in Charlotte and officially asked her to be his girlfriend.

Soon after, they started as associates at their respective law firms, just one floor apart. They loved life in Charlotte, hanging out with friends and playing with their pup, Charlie.

Fast forward two years: Alex and Sarahan had plans to attend the Avett Brothers’ New Year’s Eve concert in Charlotte. Before the concert, while on a walk in Independence Park, Alex proposed to Sarahan. She happily obliged. Oh, and not for nothing—the concert was amazing.
