What is the dress code?
The dress code is cocktail attire. For men, a suit works perfectly (ties optional). For women, knee-length or midi dresses, or a dressy jumpsuit, are great choices.
Weather permitting, our ceremony will be outdoors on the grass. We suggest bringing a jacket and choosing shoes that are comfortable for walking on grass. Feel free to wear your cowboy boots!
We’ll have cozy blankets on hand during the ceremony in case the weather is chilly. Afterward, the celebration continues indoors (with heat!) for the reception.
How should I get to the venue?
You are welcome to drive to the venue as there is plenty of parking.
We will also be providing shuttle service to and from the venue. On Saturday, November 22, a shuttle will depart from the Hyatt Place Greenville Downtown at 3:00 PM and another will depart from the Hampton Inn Greenville/Travelers Rest at 3:15 PM. At the end of the evening, return shuttles will take guests back to both hotels at 9:15 PM.
What should I expect the weather to be like?
All weather-related questions may be directed to our wedding’s personal meteorologist, bridesmaid and Emmy award winner Danielle Miller of Channel WSOC. In the meantime, here’s the general outlook: late November in Travelers Rest usually brings crisp fall vibes, with afternoons in the mid-50s to low 60s and evenings that dip into the 30s or 40s. There is always a chance of a passing shower, but most years it is just cool and comfortable. As noted above, we recommend bringing a jacket or shawl for the ceremony since it will take place outdoors (weather permitting). We will also have blankets on hand to keep you cozy. Afterward, the reception will be indoors with heat and a fireplace.
Are Children Welcome?
Yes! We are excited to see all of your kiddos at the wedding.
